She was born August 27, 1941. She grew up in Murray, where she graduated from Murray High School. She attended the University of Utah.
Betty worked at Grand Central and K-Mart as a Toy Manager; then later worked for Nu-Art lighting for thirty years.
Her biggest accomplishment in life was her family. She loved being around and playing with her grandchildren as much as possible. She loved to work outside in her yard and took great pride in her beautiful flowers. She was the most kind-hearted and loving person who always looked for the good in others.
She is survived by her loving husband, Carl Carrington; four children, Todd (Jeri) Madsen, Chris (Lianna) Madsen, Paige Carrington, and Shane (Brendy) Carrington; eleven grandchildren, and one brother, Steven (Toni) McMurtrey. She is preceded in death by her mother, Connie; step-father, Charles Crossen; and oldest granddaughter, Maquelle Madsen.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Lake Hills Memorial Park, 10055 South State Street (100 East), Sandy, with a viewing from 12:00-2:00 p.m. and a graveside service to follow.
