MACON - Bob Ward, 72, died Wednesday at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:30P.M., Saturday at Shurlington Baptist Church with burial in Macon Memorial Park. The Rev. Glynn Cranford will officiate. The family will meet friends from 1:00 P.M. to service time at the church. They suggest that memorial contributions be made to Greenwood Baptist Church (formerly Shurlington Baptist Church) Building Fund, 2270 Shurling Drive, Macon, GA 31211. -Mr. Ward, son of the late McDuffie and Eardene Duncan Ward, was born in Montgomery, AL and was preceded in death by his five brothers and two sisters. He was a retired foreman with Allen Loyd, Inc. and a member of Shurlington Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and was an avid supporter of the Youth Department. Mr. Ward served as USSSA Umpire for a number of years. -Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street has charge of arrangements.
