Henry Seiders & Mary Jane Miller were married
in 1830. They started their family in what is
now Perry County. Between 1840 & 1850 they
moved to Matamoras,Dauphin Co.& continued
raising their large family into adulthood.
Descended from Switzerland/Germany
they spoke & wrote Pennsylvania Dutch.
Worshiping at the Matamoras Church Of God.
Henry & Mary Jane are both buried in the
Matamoras Community Church Cemetery.

All four boys went into the Civil War,&
fought for the Union. Surviving many battles
they returned to Halifax area, married &
started their own families. We don't know
where John, Catherine, ended their
lives. If any descendants have any
information, Please contact us.
