Joseph Louis “Jody” Shirley, 67, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Southeast Health Center of Ripley County.

Mr. Shirley, son of Clarence and Mabel (Klenn) Shirley, was born March 18, 1948, in Doniphan. He had been a salesman with Baldwin Chevrolet/GMC at Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mr. Shirley enjoyed cooking, feeding wildlife, being on Current River and telling stories. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and had served in Vietnam.

Surviving are his wife, Carol; two sons, Jason Shirley of Chicago, Illinois, and Jeremy Shirley of Smyrna, Tennessee; and one sister, Barbra Shirley of Columbia, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Klenn Shirley and one sister, Frankie Shirley Dippell.

Visitation will be Tuesday June 9 from 10 AM till 11:30 AM at Edwards Funeral Home, graveside services to follow at 11:30 AM at Towels Cemetery with Bro. Jason Jordan officiating. Full Military Honors will be performed.
