Funeral services for Mrs. Karl Fritz, 81, were held on Tuesday, June 25, 1963, at 8:45 a.m., in the Schaetter funeral Home and at 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church.
The Rev. David Meurer of New Braunfels officiated in the rites and St. Mary's Choir sang. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Fritz died on Saturday, June 22 at 6:55 p.m., in a local rest home.
She was the former Ida Margaret Meurer and was born here on Jan. 27, 1882, the daughter of Adam Meurer and Margaret Kunz Meurer; and was married to Karl Fritz on Sept. 21, 1903. He died on Feb. 23, 1948.
She is survived by the following children; Bruno Fritz; Margaret, Mrs. A. Juenke, Joseph and Richard Fritz, all of Fredericksburg; Elizabeth, Mrs. M. Crenwelge, Waco; Raymond Fritz, El Reno, Oklahoma; Leo Fritz, Redlands, Calif.; Wilfred Fritz, Fredericksburg; Casper Fritz and Ida Jan, Mrs. Lee Gastinger, San Antonio.
Also surviving are 26 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ben Meurer of San Antonio.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers; John, Emil, Jacob, Carl, Otto, Anton and William Meurer.
Pallbearers at her rites were; Andrew Fritz, Elroy Juenke, Billie Lee Fritz, Douglas Fritz, Anthony Fritz, Rickie Fritz and Kermit Fritz.
