BRUNSWICK, Md. - Benjamin LeRoy Lambert, 81, formerly of 203 W. "B" St., died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Reeder's Memorial Home in Boonsboro.

Born June 6, 1920, in Point of Rocks, Md., he was the son of the late Mantz Leslie and India May Heffner Lambert.

He retired from the railroad and as a painter.

He was a U.S Army veteran of World War II.

He attended chapel services at Reeder's Memorial Home.

He coached in the Heart of Maryland League in Frederick County, and was affiliated with the Broad Run-Jefferson team in the 1970s.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Virginia Umbaugh Lambert, of Reeder's Memorial Home; one daughter, Nancy Lambert of Brunswick; one son, LeRoy Lambert of Myersville, Md.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown, Md. The Rev. Pat Drake will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Point of Rocks
