Amy Gardner, 18, of Andrews, TX died Saturday, March 23, 2002 in Odessa, TX from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born Aug. 11, 1983 in Liberal, KS, she was the daughter of Bill and Janelle Gardner. The family moved to Andrews in 1992. She graduated from Andrews High School in 2001.

While attending high school she was involved in AHS Band, AHS Jazz Band, AHS Cheerleader, AHS Tennis, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society and she loved to play the piano.

She was attending the University of Texas Permian Basin in Odessa and was a member and taught pre-school Sunday School Class at Temple Baptist Church in Odessa.

She preceded in death by her grandfather, Dwight Gardner.

Survivors include her parents, Bill and Janelle Gardner of Andrews, TX; one sister, Tiffany Gardner of Abilene, TX; her fiancee, Jeremy Watkins of Odessa, TX; grandparents, Bill and Fonda White of Tyrone and Viola Gardner of Coushatta, LA; and a great great aunt, Lucile Seawright of Liberal, KS.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 26 at the First Baptist Church in Andrews with Rev. Griffin Jones, Pastor of Temple Baptist Church in Odessa and Dr. H.A. Hanks, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Andrews officiating.

Other services were held Wednesday, March 27 at the Tyrone Baptist Church in Tyrone with Rev. Kim Domnick, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Tyrone officiating.
