Darrell R. Gordon, 48, of Shippensburg died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at Chambersburg, Hospital.
He was born Nov. 7, 1962, in Carlisle, the son of the late Gene Gordon and Jeanette Watson Gordon of Newville.
Mr. Gordon is survived by his wife, Edie L. Cassell Gordon.
He had worked as a mechanic for 13 years at Schreiber Foods in Shippensburg. He was a graduate of Big Spring High School.
He belonged to American Legion Post 223, VFW Post 6168 and the Minnequa Club Post 375, all of Shippensburg.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Ragan and Brooklynn Gordon; two stepdaughters, Crystal Brownawell and Alexis Gordon; one stepson, Jason Brownawell; one granddaughter, Rylee Hall; three step-grandsons; and two brothers, Robert Gordon and Randy Gordon; and one nephew, Tyler Gordon.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Dave Gordon.
A viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Egger Funeral Home, Inc. 15 Big Spring Ave. Newville.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffrey Kettering officiating. Burial will follow in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
