He was born Dec. 3, 1986, in Alexandria, Louisiana, the son of Christopher and Brenda (née Sturgill) Gray.
Jacob graduated in 2004 from Cloverleaf High School. He joined the U.S. Marines Feb. 11, 2005, and served four deployments with 3/6 Lima Company.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly (née White) Gray, whom he married Feb. 16, 2005; children, Kaden and Madelynn of Sullivan; mother, Brenda Gray of Burbank; father, Christopher Gray of Georgetown, Louisiana; paternal grandmother, Betty Atwell of Georgetown, Louisiana; brother, Brandon Gray of Burbank; twin brother, Joshua Gray and his girlfriend, Danielle Bowman of Wadsworth; and nephew, Jonathon Cooper Gray.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Claude and Berdena Sturgill Sr. and John Gray.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday June 13, 2015, at Hazzard Cemetery, with Pastor Brad Ingram officiating. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, at Matteson Funeral Home, West Salem.
