Karen passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 5, 2015.

She was born September 19, 1944 in Heber City.

Karen married her high school sweetheart, Gary Haslam, on June 17, 1961. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They loved traveling together with friends and family to many and faraway places. They raised their family in Woods Cross.

Karen worked at many places but most enjoyed her years at Hansen Barnett & Maxwell, CPA's, where she retired in 2005.

She enjoyed spending time at the cabin they built in the Uinta's.

Karen was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings and loved the temple.

Her grandchildren were one of her greatest joys. She was always positive, uplifting, and always thinking of others, especially her family.

She is survived by her husband of nearly fifty-four years, Gary; four children, David, Sherrie (Mark) Kimber, Brenda Kimber, and Janet (Gary) Wensel; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren. mother, Relva Swain; siblings, Allen (Terri) Swain and Lynette (Kevin) Small; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by father, Ray Swain, and a sister, Linda Rae.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015 in the Woods Cross Stake Center, 2064 South 800 West. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, and prior to the services at the church on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be in the Bountiful Memorial Park Cemetery.
