OKOLONA – Gloria Dean Hogan McIntosh, 59, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian. She was born April 21, 1951, to Charlie Hogan Sr. and Callie Mae Fields Hogan. She was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Amory High School. A loving mother, her hobbies included, but were not limited to, cosmetology, dancing and always making people laugh. She was affectionately called amp”Grandma Dean-Dean,” “Deanie” and “Lucy” by family.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Union Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Gloria McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Darden amp& Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her mother, Callie Mae “Ma Dear” Hogan of the home; three sons, Dewon R. McIntosh, Bryan O. (Jennifer) McIntosh Sr. and Anthony T. McIntosh, all of Amory, and their father, Willie E. McIntosh (Lois) of Nettleton; one sister, Mary Hogan-Green of Tupelo; one brother, Lynn Hogan (Kay) of Wren; 10 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special partner, Norris Braylock.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorsie and Willie Mae Hogan, and Boston and Lucielle Fields; her father, Charlie Hogan, Sr.; a brother, Charlie Hogan Jr.; and a sister, Berneice amp”Neiceyamp” Hogan.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family hour from 6 to 8 p.m. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service time.
