Reuben M Crawford, who states DOB as May 7/9 1838, has a CSA pension app on line in the Georgia Archives virtual vault. He says he enlisted in 1862 in Camden County, but then transferred into Clinch's Light Battery unit in 1863. His entire unit was captured on Dec. 13, 1864 at Fort McAllister and they remained in prison until July 1865. J. D. Crawford of Pierce county was in the same unit and was his witness. He filed for a pension as he was broken down and partially blind. There is also a pension app for his wife Barbara Crawford upon her death on March 20. 1913.
