HON. GEORGE PFEUFFER, state senator from Comal county, and quite a prominent man in Texas politics died in Austin suddenly of apoplexy on the 15th inst. He was chariman of the state finance committee in the Eighteenth legislature, and was president of the board of trustees of the A. and M. college of Bryan. He was a native of the Kingdom of Bavaria and came to this country early in life. He was 57 years of age.
