Jacob Bryan Cox, 20, of Somerset, formerly of Danville, passed away Sunday. He was born February 28, 1995 in Danville, Ky to Michelle Coulter Westfall and Jamie Cox. He is also survived by his step-father, Derrick Westfall and step-mother, Shayna Cox.
Jacob worked in lumber at Lowe's of Somerset, a member of Greenhill Baptist Church, and attended Southland Church in Danville. He loved his dog Buddy, fishing, canoeing, hiking, BATMAN, and above all, his family and friends.
Also surviving are a brother, Neal Cox; half-brother, Tyler Baker; a step brother, Logan Baker; half sister, Gracelyn Cox, grandparents: Jeffrey and Jodi Coulter, Sharon and William Davidson; great grandparents: Rolan and JoAnne Coulter and Betty Deringer; special aunt and uncles: Brent and Melinda Wilson, Misty Jo and Bryan Boston, and Randy and Missy Steele; special cousins: Chase and Kaitlynn Bradshaw, Aaron and Casandra Steele, Kelsi and Jordan Boston, and Gabrielle and Skyler Wilson; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jacob is preceded in death by a grandmother, Sandra Coulter; grandparents, Elizabeth and Altha Cox; and a great grandfather, Reuben Deringer.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 22, 2015 from 5-8 PM.
Pallbearers will be Chase Bradshaw, Aaron Steele, Ethan Lamere, Ty Foster, Paul Megilligan, and Tyler Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaitlynn Bradshaw, Casandra Steele, Skyler Wilson, Jordan Boston, and Kelsi Boston.
