Ferris was born Feb 2, 1936 north of Eagleville. In 1956 he married Retha Joyce Hanen in Eagleville. She survives of the home. He was a member of the Lone Rock RLDS Church. He was a co-owner of Midwest Pole Builders and had worked as a welder, farm hand and truck driver.
