Industrialist, racehorse owner, philanthropist. DeWitt Page was President of New Departure Manufacturing Company of Bristol, Connecticut, vice-president of General Motors Corporation and a Director of City Bank & Trust Company, Hartford, Connecticut. As a hobby, he successfully raced Thoroughbred horses under the nom de course, Maemere Farm. A significant benefactor to the City of Bristol, in 1933 Page Park in Bristol was gifted to the city by DeWitt and May Rockwell Page. In 2011, on the 100th anniversary of the city of Bristol, Dewitt and May Rockwell Page were honored as “Builders of Bristol.”
