Owene McLeod Fields Hayden was born August 31, 1923 in Jacksonville, Florida and died May 31, 2015 in Manassas Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents Chester A McLeod and Mattie Langford McLeod, husband Sidney Dean Fields, Sr., son Sidney D Fields, Jr., grandson Bryan Fields, brothers Kenneth, Gerald, and Dearl Lee.

Survived by her daughter Judy and son in law William A Lillard, Clifton, VA, grandchildren Shannon (Gerard) Jacksonville, Fl., Page (John) Gainesville Va and Leigh (Joe) Nashville TN, grandson Patrick Fields and daughter in law Marsha Fields, great grandchildren, Conner and Ashby Lynn.

Owene and Sidney visited their daughter and son in law at Navy ports from East Coast to West Coast, Hawaii and to Gaeta Italy, but her heart was always in Florida. She lived in Jacksonville, Richmond, Virginia, Cherry Hill, New Jersey and retired to Punta Gorda Fl.

Owene hated her walker and is now playing golf in heaven. A special thank you to her friends at the Oaks of Wellington, Dr. Dogra at Kaiser Oncology and Capital Caring Hospice for their support.

Owene and Sidney will be buried at the National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida. Arrangements by: Direct Cremation Services of Virginia, Chantilly, VA
