Pat Evans, 85, of Danville, passed away May 9, 2015 at his home. He was born April 9, 1930 in Mercer County to the late Lee and Mandy Grimes Evans. He is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Evans.Pat worked for Jackson Chair of Danville for over 50 years and was a member Alum Spring First Church of God.He is survived by three daughters: Kathy Lynn Hall (Alan) of Lexington, Carolyn Sue Grubbs (Kenny) of Moreland, and Patsy Lee Cook (Wilmer) of Danville; six grandchildren: Chris Pollard (Paula), Eric Pollard (Alison), Ashley Maybrier (Dusty), Hagen Grubbs (Jessica), Clay Hall, and Chad Hall; eight great grandchildren: Ty Pollard, Dalton Pollard, Taylor Carmickle, Payton Pollard, Raygan Pollard, Lexi Grubbs, Levi Grubbs, and Landon Grubbs.Along with his parents and wife, Pat is preceded in death by a brother, Thurman Evans.Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Lester, Pastor Donald Lear, and Pastor Marvin Hatton officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Visitation 5-8 PM Monday.Pallbearers are Chris Pollard, Eric Pollard, Wilmer Cook, Hagen Grubbs, Kenny Grubbs, Alan Hall, Ashley Maybrier, and Clay Hall.Memorials contributions are requested to Hospice. A special thanks to his wonderful caregivers Charlotte Baker, Barb Wilson, Margaret Horton, and Nancy Lonaker.
