Mrs. Sowar was a member of the Second Baptist Church, The Second Baptist Choir and the Amoma Bible Class. Survivors: Husband, J. S. Sowar; daughters, Mrs. Robert T. Schreiner of Lubbock and Mrs. Robert B. Borden of Boston, Mass.; son, A. R. Kadell of Houston; sisters, Mrs. Glyndon Gunter of Bryan, Mrs. W. T. Bryant and Mrs. M. A. Miller, both of Houston; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were at Forest Park Lawndale Chapel, Dr. James S. Riley officiating. Interment at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
