RUSHVILLE - Helen F. Farwell, 87, of rural Rushville died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at Snyder's VaughnHaven Nursing Home.

Born March 23, 1915, in Bath to Lafe and Edna Stanley Richardson, she married Dean Farwell on Feb. 17, 1934, in Woodland Township, Fulton County. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Shirley Russell of Astoria; three sons, Curt (and Sharon) of Havana, and Randy (and Yvonne) and Regis (and Mary), both of Peoria; one sister, Martha Wright of Canton; four brothers, Jerald (and Eloise) Richardson and Paul (and Susie) Richardson, both of Havana, Frank (and Helen) Richardson of Browning and Lafe (and Shirley) Richardson Jr. of Gravois Mills, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 13 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one great-grandson and eight brothers.

She was of the Assembly of God faith.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, where visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight. The Rev. Marvin Chockley will officiate. Burial will be in Browning Cemetery.
