EARTH - Funeral services for Shelly V. Allen, 91, of Paris, Texas, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Key Reed officiating. Burial will be in Earth Memorial Cemetery by Bright-Holland Funeral Home of Paris.
Mr. Allen died Monday, Dec. 30, 1996, in Paris Nursing Home.
He was born June 26, 1905, in Leadhill, Ark. He married Lola Blanche Barrett in September of 1932. She died in January of 1971. He married Minnie Mae Wood in June of 1971 in Paris. She died Dec. 13, 1995.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Lowrimore of Hugo, Okla.; a step-daughter, Valda Burns of Sumner; three step-sons, Kenneth Wood of Paris, James Wood and Rex Wood, both of Midland; a brother, Whetsel Allen of Cortez, Colo.; a sister, Fern Alsobrook of Cortez; two grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Five brothers and four sisters are deceased.
