Longtime Tecumseh resident Martha Kay "Gussy" Sherwood, 50, died Tuesday, June 20, at Carl Albert Hospital, Ada.
She was born Aug. 31, 1955, to Albert and Bertha (Douglas) Sherwood in Seminole.

Sherwood was a healthcare provider for several years at Shawnee Care Center.

She was a graduate of Tecumseh High School.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Shirley Cully and Ruby Biaze; and brother, Roger Cully.

Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Vickie Sherwood of Shawnee, and Dwayne and Barbara Culley of Newalla; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pall bearers are John Coker, Dustin Sherwood, P.J. Houck, Edward Sherwood, Esteban Perez and Phillip Cully; honorary pall bearers are Nathan Loper and Ed Sherwood.

Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole, with the Rev. Joseph Factor officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
