Dave Douglas Walker, 66, a resident of Tallahassee, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 17, 1948, in Tallahassee, to Charles Lee Walker, who survives, and the late Bernice Abbott Walker. He retired from the City of Tallahassee as a Supervisor of Resurfacing, and later retired from Leon County as a Site Attendant.
In addition to his father, Charles Lee Walker, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Laura Allen Walker; daughter, Leigh Walker-Sculley (Robert); sisters, Linda Heal (Lance) and Pat Walker; adopted grandchildren, Cheltsie Foster, Brooke Collins, Chris Warren, Devin Collins and Courtney Schubert; adopted great-grandchildren, Junior Foster and Gunner Foster.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Crossway Baptist Church, where he was a member. Interment will follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Abbey Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.abbeyfh.com.
