Rena Jane Johnson, 83, of Beechmont, KY died Tuesday, June 9, 2015, 3:55 a.m. in the Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville, KY following a lengthy illness. Jane was born September 20, 1931, in Muhlenberg County the daughter of John Wesley Roberson and Millie Carver Roberson. She was a member of Carter Creek Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Peabody Coal Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Wayne Johnson in 1994; sons, Keith Johnson in 2013 and Dwight Johnson in 1964; grandson, Brandon Johnson in 1981; brother, Norman Roberson; and sisters, Anna Sue Rust and Brenda Johnson.
She is survived by one son, Tim (Ramona) Johnson of Drakesboro, KY; two grandchildren, T.J. (Felicia) Johnson of Central City, KY and Amanda Johnson of Greenville, KY; six great grandchildren, Tyler, Destinie, Abigail, Jeremy, Jr., Jerry and Hali; four sisters, Joyce McGehee of Greenville, KY, Ella (Tom) Carden of Madisonville, KY, Doris (Darrell) Bowers of Beechmont, KY, and Linda (James) Staples of Beech Creek, KY; one brother, Reggie (Della) Roberson of Browder, KY.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, June 13, 2015, 1 p.m. from Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY by Rev. Donnie Wilkins and Rev. Tommy Wilite with burial to follow in Hazel Creek Cemetery in Belton, KY.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 12, 2015, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY and after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
