Margaret Ruth Free Overton, 82, previously of Haskell and Abilene, an Irving resident for the past 32 years, passed away June 9, 2015. She was born August 4, 1932 in Pleasant Valley, Texas to George Edward and Mary Beatrice McDuff Free.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Haskell, Texas and later belonged to Plymouth Park United Methodist Church.
She loved sewing and horseback riding and was given the opportunity to ride one of the white horses at Hardin-Simmons University.
Survived by her husband, Ray Overton.
The family will receive friends at the church and a funeral service will be held with interment immediately following in Willow Cemetery in Haskell.
