Mrs. Alta Edwina Unger Lawson aged 66, died Tuesday evening at Culbertson Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for four days.

Alta was born October 7, 1897, the eldest daughter of Ben and Arvilla Unger. Her entire life was spent in Camden township with the exception of a dew months spent in Peoria while her husband was attending Bradley Horologe.

She was married to Ray B. Lawson, October 17, 1920, at the home of her parents. They were privileged to live together in happy companionship until June 30, 1954 when Ray was suddenly stricken with a heart attack.

To this devoted couple were born two daughters, Lorena Voneta Lawson wife to Kenneth Eldon Gabbert of Camden and Fredia Louise Lawson wife to James McClelland of Lewistown. These two daughters and her nine grandchildren and one great grandson, were the important center of Alta's life and she was always intrested in their daily activities...never too busy to lend a helping hand to show how much she cared.

Alta was an active member of the Camden Methodist Church and W.S.C.S., and was always anxious to support the various activities not onlyto her church but also those of her community.

In addition to her daughters, she leaves to mourn her passing, her aged mother, Mrs. Arvilla Unger with whom she was residing at the time of her death; nine grandchildren, Linda Allen, who is presently with her husband Ferris (Bud) Allen with the Armed forces in Germany. Larry, Lela, wife to Terry Allen with the Armed forces stationed in France, Lois, Louise, and Lyle all at home. and David, Marilyn and Debr McClelland; and one great grandson, Lloyd Ray Allen (Linda And Bud Allen's Son).

Besides this immediate family she is survived by the folling brothers and sisters: Elbrey Unger of Macomb, Parker Unger and Voneta Anderson of Rushville, and several nieces and nephews and host of other relatives and friends.

Those preceding her in death were her husband, Ray and her father, Ben and one brother Julian.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Camden Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Bass in charge assisted by Rev. Gary Curl. Burial was in Marlow cemetery.
