Mr. Charles William Records, 61, of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, entered the gates of Heaven on Monday, June 8, 2015, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri, after a brief battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Charles began his earthly journey on July 6, 1953, in Neosho, Missouri, one of three children born to the union of the late Frank and Mary Naomi (Crossley) Records. He was raised on the family farm where he remained and worked his entire life. He graduated from Grove High School in 1971 and furthered his education at NEO in Miami, Oklahoma. On February 11, 1984 he was united in marriage to Dianna Sue Wheatley and together they lovingly raised four sons. Charles stopped milking in 2010 to focus on beef cattle. He enjoyed life on the farm and tending to the needs of his cattle. Charles accepted Christ as his Personal Lord and Savior and was an active member of Buffalo Creek Baptist Church near Tiff City, Missouri.

His parents, and one brother, Doug Records, preceded him in death.

Charles is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Dianna Records of the home; four sons, David Records and wife, Angel, Matt Lane and wife, Mitzi, Lucas Lane and wife, Anna, and Dusty Records and wife, Angela, all of Wyandotte, Oklahoma; seven granddaughters, Tia, Lacy, Daryan, Maggie, Addie, Ayla and Alexis; a sister, Frankie Sue Johnson of Wyandotte; as well as a host of other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday morning, June 12, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Council House Cemetery near Wyandotte, Oklahoma. Celebration of Life Services will follow the graveside at 11:00 a.m. at Buffalo Creek Baptist Church near Tiff City, Missouri, with Bro. Jared Proctor officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the church. His four sons along with nephews Dillon Wheatley and Scott Shouse will be serving as pallbearers. Memorials are being directed to the Buffalo Creek Baptist Church Building fund and contributions may be left at the church or mailed to the Ozark Funeral Home (P.O. Box 520, Anderson, Mo 64831).
