SEXTON, NORMA JEAN, 73, passed away Friday, May 30, 2008 at Norton's Hosparus Unit.

She was a homemaker, a Past Matron of Valley Chapter 65 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Hiawatha Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Floyd and Frances (Pardue) Pierce; and a great-grandson, Christopher Sexton.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Cokley Sexton; one son, Rodney Sexton (Marilyn); three daughters, Phyllis Jean Ottersbach, Sandra Sexton (Lynne) and Tina Brady; two brothers, Don Pierce and Gary Pierce; two sisters, Elizabeth "Libby" Coomer and Glenda Eaton; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Tuesday at noon at the Evergreen Funeral Home with interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus or Creutzfeld-Jakob Foundation, Inc.
