Mr. Kosak was born June 5, 1853 in Austria.
He came to this country 43 years ago with his wife and three children, settling at Sister Bay. Four years later, the family came to Sturgeon Bay and lived here 22 years.
Mr. Kosak was a quarry and orchard worker and for eight years was a janitor at St. Joseph's Church and school, prior to moving to Oshkosh in 1920.
He was married 53 years ago and his wife preceded him in death 28 years ago.
Surviving are four children: Frank of this city; Mrs. Frank (Mary) Blanchette of Oshkosh; Mrs. Ted (Anna) VerKuilen of Rockford, Illinois and Mrs. A.M (Ethel) Fredricks of Chicago, Illinois;
12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. & Mrs. A.M. Fredricks; Mr. & Mrs. Theodore VerKuilen; Mr. & Mrs. Frank Blanchette and children; Mary, Frank and Mark Kosak; Kate Schulte; Mrs. Marie Wibben and Ed Scheren of Sheboygan.
