The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel, Fountain and Union boulevards, with the Rev. Bill Knott officiating. Entombment will be in Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Evergreen Funeral Home.
Mr. Padgett was born Aug. 15, 1911, in Piatt County, Ill., to Roy and Iona (Fields) Padgett. He was married Sept. 5, 1959, in Colorado Springs to Luella Johnson, who died in 1990.
He is survived by two daughters, Kay Hiltman and Jan Bailey, both of Colorado Springs; a sister, Marge Mckee of Security; a brother, Bill of Colorado Springs; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his close friend Mildred Games of Colorado Springs.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gene, and two stepdaughters, Sharon Siegrist and Ganice Kubick.
