Miss Carmody was nearly 28 years of age, having been born in the Town of Egg Harbor January 22, 1880.She spent her early years in Egg Harbor, but for the past 10 years, has been residing in this city.
She is survived by her father, Dennis T. Carmody; four brothers and six sisters. The funeral will be held from the Catholic Church Saturday morning at 10:00 and interment will be made in the Catholic Cemetery.

Death Claims Clara Carmody - Succumbs To An Attack of Influenza On Thursday Forenoon After A Brief Illiness
The death of Miss Clara Carmody on Thursday morning was a shock to her numerous friends in this city. Miss Carmody was taken ill with influenza about a week before her death. After apparently recovering from the malady pneumonia set in and she was removed to the Egeland hospital. For several days she made a desperate fight for life and almost up to the last minute was confident that she would be able to pull thru. Just when victory appeared to be in sight her heart gave out under the strain and death claimed her.
At the time she was taken ill Miss Carmody was making her home with the family of Barney Haen, with whom she had lived for several years.
She was the daughter of Dennis Carmody, Sr., and was born in the town of Egg Harbor January 22, 1891, being nearly 28 years old at the time of her death. She made her home in the town of her birth until about ten years ago when she came to this city.
For a number of years past she was employed as a clerk in the People's Store, where she formed a wide acquaintance thru her amiable and sunny disposition.
Miss Carmody was a general favorite in the circle in when she moved and her untimely death was keenly felt outside the family circle as well as in it. Of the ten children in the family this was the first death to occur, all having grown to men and woman's estate.
Deceased is survived by her father,
five sisters and four brothers, namely: Mrs. Frank Callahan, Rapid River, Mich.; Mrs. John Schoil, Sevastopol, Wisconsin; Mrs. Henry Washburn and Miss Stella, this city; Winifred, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Fran, Chicago, Illinois; Denis, Bert and Joseph, this city.
All were in attendance at the funeral.
The funeral was held from St. Joseph's church on Saturday morning, Rev. A. Broens officiating.
