Marjorie Ann (Jackson) Henry, 99 of West Lafayette, passed away at 4:20 pm on Sunday, June 7 at Westminster Village.

Marjorie was born August 17, 1915 in Kentland. She graduated from Morocco High School in 1933.

Growing up, Marge lived in Enos and Columbia City before moving to West Lafayette where she spent the rest of her life.

She had been a secretary at various real estate and insurance companies, voter’s registration, License Branch and First United Methodist Church. Marge is a former member of Eastern Star, Tri Kappa Sorority, Methodist Women’s Ministries and Purdue Agronomy Wives. She volunteered at Long Center for Performing Arts, Lafayette Urban Ministries, the Museum of Prophets Town, First United Methodist Church and had delivered for Meals on Wheels.
Marge played Bridge in two clubs and Couples Bridge with her husband Hugh. She had a passion for making beautiful greeting cards from previously used cards, furnishing thousands to Lafayette Urban Ministries, Westminster Village, family and friends. She was an avid crossword puzzler and enjoyed sewing and cooking. In 1997 Marge had been awarded Women of the Year by the Methodist Women and in 1998 had received the Rose Award.

Marjorie married Hugh Henry in 1940 and shared life for 72 years. They had three daughters who survive: Jerilyn K. Dille of Port Angeles, WA, Jana H. (Martin Shapiro) Maples of Largo, FL, and Joetta (Walter) Senour of Graniteville, SC. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Elisa Macfadyen of Vancouver, BC, Evan Dille of Longview, WA, John Maples Jr of Palm Harbor, FL, Caryn Davidson of Des Moines, IA and Kaylan Senour of Graniteville, SC and four great grandchildren, Jace Maples, Jacob and Markus Dille and Jackson Davidson.

Funeral service for Marjorie will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway W. West Lafayette, IN 47906. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
