FAYETTEVILLE — Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday for Charley Richmond, 87, who died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Glover Plumley, of Route ,1, Fayetteville.
Rites will be held In the New Salem Baptist Church at Abraham with the Rev. Earl Ward, of Sandstone, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery at Abraham.
A retired farmer, he was born Sept. 12, 1865, at Pluto.
Survivors includes two brothers, Grayson Richmond, of Shady Spring, and Jake Richmond, of Abraham; six sons, Charles E., of Camp, Va., Merrida, of Piney View; Edwin, of Thurmond, Virgil and Dorse, of Cleveland, O., Theodore of Slab Fork; five other daughters, Mrs. Stella Patton, of Meadow Bridge, Mrs. Emma Buckland, of Thincastle, Va., Mrs. Ethel Cochron, of Cleveland, Mrs. Ercell Adkins, of Meadow Creek, and Mrs. Oda England, of Crab Orchard.
The body will remain at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, until an hour prior to the funeral hour.
