David was a hero in World War I. He volunteered in the British Army where he lived in London, and joined the Jewish Legion to fight for the liberation of Palestine from the Ottoman Turks. They were successful, and paved the way for the Jewish people to establish the country of Israel.
He and his wife Leie immigrated to New York where they had a son, Harold. After she died, he remarried Rose.His son Harold was in the US Army in World War 2, and was killed when an airplane in which he was traveling in crashed in Africa.
