Claude was born November 22, 1937 in Nevada to Walter and Mildred (Woodward) Moore.
He was united in marriage to Virginia L. McCrery on August 5, 1955 in Nevada and she survives of the home.
Claude was the franchise owner of the Kerr McGee Station in Nevada which he operated for 25 years. He then began employment at 3M in 1977 where he continued to work until his retirement in 1998. One of Claude and Virginia’s favorite pastimes was traveling together. Every summer they would spend one week traveling the United States by car and in 1987 they got to visit Hawaii. Claude enjoyed fishing and hunting and he especially loved mowing on his tractor.
In addition to his wife Virginia, survivors include one son, Dusty Moore and his wife Penne, Nevada; grandchildren, Jay Diederich and his wife Vera, Renita Hale and her husband Shane, Jessica Holder, Sam Moore and his wife Kristina, Emily Howarth and her husband Blake; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Foster and her husband Glen, Nevada; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Anita Diederich in 2001; two brothers, Fred Moore, and Walter Moore; two sisters, Roberta Smading, and Nellie Norris.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Moore Cemetery with Rev. Bill Platt officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4th, 2015 at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, MO.
