Ronnie Lynn Mooney, son of the late Ronnie Mooney and Dessie Vannatter Carroll, was born October 15, 1955 in Harrisburg, Arkansas. He departed this life May 23, 2015 at Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 59 years, 7 months and 8 days. He spent his life as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years, he worked as a carpenter. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his companion: Carl Hawk of the home; two daughters: Misty Mooney of Mtn. Home, Arkansas and Bethany Stewart and husband Adam of Calico Rock; his mother: Dessie Carroll of Calico Rock; three brothers: Jessie Carroll and James Jones of Calico Rock and Joe Jones of Jordan; four sisters: Sheila Howard of Ohio, Marie Tackit of Texas, Maxine Parks of Florida and Melinda Nemec of Calico Rock; three grandchildren: Gauge Stewart, Dakota Stewart and Piper Stewart and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and his maternal grandparents: Buck and Ader Vannatter and his uncle: “Tiny” Vannatter.
Grave Side Services will be held Thursday, May 28 at Optimus Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
