Richard E. Brandon, 81, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away.

He was born July 3, 1933 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of the late Richard E. and Ella M. (McGinnis) Brandon.

He worked many years as an estimator at Inland Steel, Manager at Capital City Lumber, Manager at Huttig Sash & Door, and worked part-time at Brain Lumber after his retirement.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Nancy L. (Furman); five children, Cassandra (Richard) Harnish and sons, Richard (Jennifer) Brandon, Robert (Laura) Turner and daughters; Jennifer (Zdenek) Andelova, and Lisha (Eric Thomas) Brandon and children, Bryanna and Elijah, as well as his special dog, Willie.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 10-11am in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will begin at 11am with Chaplain Bruce Heckman officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Maple Grove Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Community Mercy Hospice or Alzheimer's Association.
