"SYX, MARY LAVERN WILLIAMS, age 77, of Hueytown, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2006. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Brown Service West Chapel with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Bro. Danny Duncan and Bro. Lonnie McCullough will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Syx, father Newman B. Williams, mother Dovie Williams, several sisters and one brother, two grandsons and one great granddaughter. Survivors: children, Roger Syx (Sibble); Lynn Hyche; Larry Syx (Jackie); Mike Syx (Judy) and Debbie Routledge (Arthur); thirty-three grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Syx, Rob Syx, Brad Syx, Larry Syx, Jeff Hyche, Shane Morris and Grandchildren. Brown Service West Chapel will be serving the Syx family 744-7666.
