Bro. Brann was the son of Charlie Sebern Brann and Lurene Atkins Brann. Bro. Brann was a member of the "Greatest Generation" of the highest order. He and his sister Sarah were raised in a loving Christian home during the Great Depression. Later he served in combat infantry duty with the US Army in Europe during WWII.

After the war, he surrendered to the call of the ministry and was ordained to preach the Gospel on July 12, 1947 at Palmersville Baptist Church in Palmersville, TN. He later graduated from Union University in Jackson, TN and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft Worth, TX.

He then began a ministry that included full time pastorates in Mt Pelia, TN, Greenfield, TN, Baldwyn, MS, Jackson, TN, Ashland, MS & Sharon, TN. Upon his retirement from the full time ministry, he moved to Tupelo, MS and began a service of over 30 interim pastorates around the area. He was an "old time" Baptist preacher.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors. A graveside service will follow at Tupelo Memorial Park.

He was preceded by his parents and his wife of 66 years...Joyce Pettit Brann whom he married on April 19, 1940. Also preceded by his sister, Sarah Brann Rogers and her husband Hollis as well as his grandsons Steven Bruce Deshler and Clay Brann; daughter-in-law, Sharon.
