Lloyd Merrill “Ike” Richardson, 85, of Davis Junction, Illinois, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Kishwaukee Hospital, DeKalb.

Born July 15, 1929, in Lee, the son of Hiram O. and Clara A. (Brown) Richardson, Lloyd married Rita M. Bybee on November 27, 1953, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Lee, where he was a lifelong member.

Lloyd was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from General Electric after working there 36 years.

Lloyd’s best love was his family, boating and trains.

He is survived by his wife, Rita; children, Connie (Eloy) Hernandez, Mary (Richard) Gillette, Jerry (Kim) Richardson, Paul (Wilma) Richardson and Ray (Stacy) Richardson; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Francis (Margaret) Bybee, Emma Bybee, Don Book and Joanne Richardson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Albin, Garland, Dale and Raymond; and grandson, Tony Vierling.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 14, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 19 Perry Road, Lee, with the Rev. Craig E. Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Steward.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 13, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb.
