Todd Anthony Duecker, 30, of Fredericksburg died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002 at Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 2 p.m., in St. Marys Catholic Church with the Rev. Tony Vilano officiating. Interment followed in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Prior to the services, his body lay in state in the chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home where a vigil service was held at 7 p.m., on Tuesday.
Duecker was born on June 25, 1972 in Fredericksburg, the son of Lester Marschall Duecker and Eunice Veronica Wallendorf Duecker.
He was a laboratory technician at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Joe Youngblood II; his grandmothers, Margaret, Mrs. Fritz Duecker and Veronica, Mrs. Kurt Wallendorf, all of Fredericksburg and his fiance, Cathy Munoz, also of Fredericksburg.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Marie Thomas.
Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation, American Diabetes Association, or to the charity of choice.
Pallbearers were Charles Klein, Darrell Burch, Kris Grobe, B.J. Simpson, James Staudt, Brian Itri, Thomas Kiker, and Corey Munoz. Denise Munoz was an honorary pallbearer.
