June Grace Schieber James, an 85-year-old resident of Port Angeles, passed away May 23, 2015.

She was born June 30, 1929, to William A. Schieber and Florence A. Schubert in Portland, Oregon.

June married Albert William James on February 6, 1948. Their 65-year marriage ended with Al's passing August 4, 2013.

June worked at Safeway as a grocery clerk for 20 years.

After retiring from Safeway, June and her husband, Al, owned and operated Angeles Inn Bed and Breakfast from 1993 to 2013, where June showcased her expertise in the kitchen.

She loved skiing, spending time with her grandchildren, working with her church family and traveling.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Port Angeles and the Olympic Peninsula Bed and Breakfast Association.

She is survived by her son Terry (Debbie) of Port Angeles; daughters Christine James of Bonney Lake, Washington, and Geri Henry of Tacoma, Washington; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. James; son Douglas W. James; and nine brothers and sisters.

A celebration of June's and Al's lives will be officiated by Pastor Tim Hughes on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 105 West Sixth Street, Port Angeles.
