Samuel Edward Snyder Jr., 74, of St Augustine passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at Baptist Medical Center South. Sam was born on March 15, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Samuel and Ethel Snyder.

Originally from Maryland, Sam began his career with Merrill Lynch as a broker and later worked for the IRS as a customer service representative. He was a proud veteran serving within the U.S. Air force, and an avid golfer.

He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Sondra Schoff, Frannie Scanlon and Linda VanDenVenter. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 55 years, Carolyn Snyder; Two children, Edward Snyder (Lynne) and Kimberlie Rush (Timothy); Six granddaughters, Kara Droppleman(Jeff), Lyndsie Askea(Eric), Elizabeth Rush, Rebekah Wille (Bryce), Samantha Snyder, and Amy Rush; Two Sisters, Helena Milam and Gerri Kheen; One Brother, Robert Snyder (Elie); many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will be hosting a Tree Planting Service in St Augustine on June 20, 2015 followed by a Celebration of Life memorial in Swanton, Maryland at the George Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of Flowers the family requests donations be sent in Sam's Honor to the Bartram Trail High School, Athletic Boosters, 7399 Long Leaf Pine Parkway, St. Johns, Fl 32259 or a charity of your choice.
