Larry was born to Richard Paul Hood and Emily Irene "Dee Dee" Morgan Hood, Sr. in Belleville, Illinois in 1953.
He was a carpenter, mechanic and truck driver throughout his life and enjoyed fishing and go-cart racing. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother (Richard "Dick" Hood, Jr) and one brother-in-law, William J. Lively. He is survived by two sisters, eleven nieces and nephew and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
