Mr. Christello was born Wednesday, April 21, 1926, in New Kensington, Pa., the son of Dominic and Jessie Pitala Christello.
He was an alumnus of Farrell High School where he played a variety of sports including football.
A decorated war veteran, he served in the U.S. Army in the second infantry division in the European theater of operations from August 1944 to June 21, 1946, when he was honorably discharged.
He worked for 43 years at the former Sharon Steel Corp.’s Farrell plant, where he retired from in 1985 as a superintendent of the Blooming Mill.
Pat’s deepest love was his family. He enjoyed being outdoors and a round of golf.
His family is truly saddened at his passing, his great wit and charisma that he brought to all their gatherings will be sadly missed.
His wife, the former Jean M. Leavens whom he married Aug. 2, 1947, in St. Adalbert Church in Farrell, survives at home.
He is also survived by his son, Kenneth Christello and his wife, Jenny; and two grandchildren, Lindsey and Tyler Christello, all of Eaton, Ohio.
Also surviving are two sisters, Grace Greenwalt of Sharon; and Mary Vance of Farrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominic Christello and Jessie Pitala Christello; a sister Ann DiPalma; and brother, Frank Christello.
Interment: Brookfield Township Cemetery.
