James H. Lipe, 62, of Conway, died Friday (Aug. 3, 2001) at Baptist Memorial East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Born June 16, 1939, in Murphysboro, Ill., son of Teddy Eugene and Mary Elizabeth Lipe, he was retired and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Teddy Gene Lipe; and a sister, Linda Ditzler.

Survivors are his wife, Josephine Dunlap Lipe; three daughters, Karen Barr of Conway, Mary Mankins of California and Brenda Bray of Conway; a sister, Anita Gunderson of Michigan; a brother, Byron Lipe of Colorado; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
