Cora Ella Danz, 100, of Fredericksburg, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Fredericksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A funeral mass was celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stonewall with the Rev. Jim Harnan officiating.
Interment followed in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery at Stonewall.
Arrangements were under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home where a vigil service was held Tuesday evening, Dec. 16, with Rev. Harnan officiating.
Miss Danz was born June 7, 1908, in Gillespie County, the daughter of Richard Danz and Alma Marie Jacoby Danz.
Survivors include one sister, Paula, Mrs. Tommy Schneider of Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as five brothers and four sisters, including Barney Max Danz, Lee Edmond Danz, Tommie Danz, Casper Danz, Erin Danz, Viola A. Danz, Edna (Mrs. Victor) Lott, Verdie Danz and Mersie (Mrs. Barney) Walters.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or to the charity of choice.
Pallbearers included Melvin Beckmann, Harvey Eckert, Alvin F. Weinheimer, Jerry Pehl, Stephen Schneider and George Danz.
