Ellen Elaine Long, 81, fondly known as "MawMaw," and a longtime resident of Odessa, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015, at Odessa Regional Medical Center.

She was born May 12, 1934, in Minot, ND, to Allen and Caroline Stredwick. She worked as a medical secretary but had been retired for 18 years, and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Debbie Moler; brothers Joe, Kenneth, Allen, Norris and Don Stredwick; sister Mae Quinn; and half-sister Marie Bauder.

She is survived by her daughter Tammy Compton and husband, Steve of Odessa; sisters Ann Luchsinger of Fargo, ND; Delores Schick of Rogue River, OR; and Donna Naugle and husband, Everett of Pharr, TX; grandchildren Kenzie Compton, Chelsea Taylor, and Jason Moler; great-grandchildren Kaiden Teague and Aubrey Moler; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
