Lee "Sonny" Cooper, 91, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015.

He was predeceased by his son Joseph, grandson, Lee Cooper, Jr. and brother, Eugene Cooper.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Betty, sons, James Cooper, Conklin, John (Carm) Cooper, Utica and Lee (Mindy) Cooper, Conklin, daughters; Bonnie Chase, Chenango Forks and Lori (Charles) Ford, Kirkwood. He leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.

Sonny's family would like to thank Gail Heeman for being our special angel.

Sonny was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country proudly during World War II. He was part of the D-day invasion of Normandy.

He retired after forty eight as a foreman with Levene's and Son, Conklin. He enjoyed camping and traveling all his life.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton.

Interment will follow services in Chenango Valley Cemetery with military honors. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.
