R. G. Guy, 85, of Depew, died Saturday, December 31 at Stroud.
Services were conducted Monday, January 9 at Depew First Baptist Church with Rev. R. T. Samuels and Rev. E. V. Walker officiating. Burial was in Memorial Club Cemetery, Depew under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home.
He was born May 13, l909 in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Guy married Jessie Cornelius on October 15, 1939. She preceded him in death in August of 1980. He served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Theoplis and Rebecca Blackmon, San Jose, Ca; one brother-in-law and wife, Willie and Dorothy Cornelius, Oakland, CA; one sister-in-law, Benevia Cornelius, Stockton, CA; ten grand-children, 20 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
